Your Immune System at a Glance

{Excerpt from CSNN - Guide to Nutritional Symptomatology}

"Essential to survival, the immune system is the body's natural defence system.  It helps fight infection and attack and destroys microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, and other pathogens it recognizes as foreign and different from the body's normal healthy cells.

The immune system is spread throughout the body. It is a complex system of antibodies, white blood cells (WBC), nodes, and vessels, tissues, organs, proteins, and chemicals that defends the body from invaders and infectious disease-causing organisms that have been inhaled, consumed, or absorbed by the skin.

The lymphatic system is part of the immune system. It consists of tonsils, adenoids, spleen, thymus, bone marrow, lymph vessels, lymph nodes and gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT) located in the intestinal system.

The lymphatic system works with the rest of the immune system to resist disease and fight infection and also maintains the body's fluid balance, transporting lymph fluids to the cardiovascular system for elimination of toxins."

What else supports the Immune System?

It's exciting to know, with 43+ guaranteed Active Nutrients,  CellSentials™ and HealthPak™ always have your immune system protected, nourished and more.

And no other antioxidant is as important to overall health and a regenerator of immune cells than Glutathione.

Did you know, glutathione is involved in many processes in the body, including tissue building and repair, making chemicals and proteins needed in the body, and for the immune system.   {Ref.Web.MD}

And did you know,  glutathione itself is not absorbed intact very efficiently. One of the best ways to increase glutathione levels is to provide the building blocks and precursors needed to manufacture it within the body.

N-acetyl L-cysteine (NAC) is an effective precursor to glutathione, and it is more efficiently absorbed than glutathione itself. Because of this, USANA includes high levels of NAC in the CellSentials™ as opposed to actual glutathione. We also provide substantial amounts of other important nutrients associated with glutathione production, including selenium and vitamin E.   {Ref. Ask the Scientists}

What I have shared is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to understanding and supporting your immune system.

You don't actually have to know any of this if you are already fortifying your cells with CellSentials™ or HealthPak™

You get to simply focus on eating well balanced whole food meals, and feel at ease your cells always have the foundation of nutrients they need to battle anything that comes to them!
